CASE STUDY: DETROIT INFLUENCERS
This shoot was a great opportunity for us to show off how well we work under time pressure. I always enjoy these sorts of jobs; my crew and I keep it light in an effort to relax our high-level, busy, ‘movers and shakers’ who are typically thinking about where they need to be next! We nailed it.
PUH-LEAZE! NO BLAH HEADSHOTS FOR DETROIT’S INFLUENCERS.

PRINT AD CAMPAIGN
To help launch their Devil’s Cut Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, Jim Bean Distillery worked together with Kid Rock on a promotion that asked adults to Tweet messages to which Rock would reply via video-taped snippets featured on their website. Firefly Studios was called in to create still images that would be used to promote the campaign on other social media platforms.
The challenge for us was that we would not be allotted exclusive shooting time with Kid Rock and instead would have to shoot our stills while the video crew was recording their content. No problem. We utilized our sound-proof housing that completely silences the sounds of our camera. It made for spontaneous, excellent images, a happy client, and most of all… a very relieved video crew!
• “I wasn’t looking forward to this, you made it fun!” (Love it when the AD hears that!) • “Under five minutes, impressive!” (Subtle grin.) • “Thanks for making me relaxed, I hate being photographed.” (You were relaxed?) • “Wow, we’re done already? That was fast!” (Time flies!) • “Can I look at a few of the pictures?” (Of course.) • “Is it OK to use one for my LinkedIn profile?” (Of course, with agency permission.) • “You’re the best!” (Awwww shucks!)
Overheard on set... shhhh!
our clients hire us because they know they can count on us to do all these things consistently, on demand, over and over again. When you hire us, you’re working with professionals — not just a person with a camera.
